Spanish giants Real Madrid produced a superb display to secure an impressive 3-0 Champions League triumph over Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday.
French international Karim Benzema struck twice and Cristiano Ronaldo also chipped in to hand Los Merengues a convincing win which sees them stretch their lead atop group B to 6 points.
Elsewhere, Pajtim Kasami scored in the first-half as Olympiakos outclassed Italian champions Juventus 1-0 in Greece. Paul Pogba’s team-mates pushed in the dying moments but it was too little too late as Olympiakos held on to earn all three points. Atletico Madrid are now top of group A after beating Malmo 5-0 at the Vicente Calderon.
In group C, Giulio Donati and Kyriakos Papadopoulos both struck to hand Bayer Leverkusen a comfortable 2-0 win over Zenit Saint Petersburg in front of their home fans.
The Gunners of Arsenal came back from behind to down Anderlecht 2-1 while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a brace to help Dortmund to a 4-0 win over Galatasaray.
