Flights operated by Lufthansa’s low cost carrier Germanwings have returned to normal after pilots staged their seventh walkout this year.

More than 100 services were cancelled on Thursday in an ongoing dispute over pension rights.

The 12-hour action was organised by the Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) trade union, which represents about 5,400 Lufthansa pilots.

A day earlier, German train drivers caused their own travel misery when they went on a nationwide strike over pay.
