driver Jules Bianchi not urged to accelerate prior to crash
Formula one team Marussia is “shocked and angered” by reports that suggest driver Jules Bianchi was ordered to speed up during the double waved yellow flag period, which urges divers to slow down.
Bianchi is in hospital after suffering head injuries following a crash at the Japanese Grand Prix in wet conditions.
The team said radio communication during the race shows that at no time was Bianchi urged to accelerate.
Meanwhile the family of the French driver say he still faces a number of “medical challenges” and continues to fight for his life.
