Baku Grand Slam winner Alan Khubetsov toppled Khasan Khalmurzaev in an all-Russian -81kg final.

In an evenly-balanced fight between two 21-year-olds Khubetsov registered the only score of the contest with an over-the-shoulder arm throw to earn himself a yuko and the gold.
