Kurdish protesters in Turkey demand more action against ISIL
Police in Ankara deployed water cannons on Thursday to disperse protesters who gathered to demand more action from the Turkish government against the ISIL militants in neighbouring Syria. Protesters threw stones and Molotov cocktails at police who responded with water cannons and tear gas.
Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Wednesday that 19 people had been killed and 145 injured during the clashes.
