Thousands of people have been paying their last respects to one of Russia’s most loved footballers, Fyodor Cherenkov.
He died on Saturday at the age of 55 from head injuries sustained in fall last month.
Cherenkov played midfield for Spartak Moscow between 1977 and 1993, more than any other player in the club’s history.
He won three Soviet Top League titles, and one Russian Premier League title with Spartak and also played one season with Paris’ Red Star Football Club.
