A powerful typhoon has hit central Japan bringing with it strong winds and heavy rain, causing flights to be cancelled and knocking out power.
Typhoon Phanfone has been downgraded from a super- typhoon, but Japan’s Meteorological Agency has warned it is still a dangerous storm with winds gusting to 216km/h
Many schools are closed and two car companies have stopped production at some plants..
