Finnish brewers aim to recreate 170-year-old beer from shipwreck

A shipwreck found in Finnish waters in 2010 revealed a treasure of 100 bottles of 1840s champagne and five bottles of more humble beer.

While some of the champagne was auctioned off, the beer was sent to a laboratory for analysis, and now Swedish brewers have recreated the ancient tipple which they hope will suit modern tastes just as well.
