The father of Brazilian football star Neymar testified before a judge at the Spanish National Court on Wednesday.
Neymar Da Silva Santos was ordered to testify as a witness in a case investigating an alleged tax fraud in Barcelona’s signing of his 22-year-old son.
Neymar’s transfer fee has been called into question since his unveiling at the Camp Nou on June 3, 2013.
And the signing is being investigated under suspicion of hiding the full cost of the player transfer fee from Brazilian club Santos and thereby avoiding millions of euros in tax.
The reported transfer fee was €57 million, but another 40 million was allegedly paid to a company which is close to Neymar’s family.
