Meet the armless ping-pong champion who says 'nothing is impossible'
Egyptian Ibrahim al-Husseiny Hamato lost both his arms in a train accident aged 10, but, helped by his motto ‘nothing is impossible’, he has managed to not just live an independent life, but become an international sports star.
Three years after his accident he took up ping-pong and it’s been a roaring success. He has won a swathe of disability awards, including six international medals.
He said: “My motto is that nothing is impossible. I play ping-pong with my mouth and I don’t feel like I don’t have arms, until I look into the mirror while wearing short sleeves.”
