Derek Jeter played his final game for the New York Yankees over the weekend when he turned out as designated hitter against arch rivals the Boston Red Sox at Fenway park.
Jeter played shortstop for the Yankees for 20 seasons.
He was also the team’s captain and a 14-times All Star.
The 40-year-old played his last game at Yankee Stadium on Thursday but featured in the season-ending game against Boston saying he decided to play out of respect to the fans and the intense Red Sox rivalry.
Jeter is a five-time World Series winner.
