Painting a new image of war: Afghanistan's successful paintball clubs
Even though the country has witnessed three decades of gun battles and conflict, many Afghans are flocking to paintball centres that have sprouted up in recent months. Dressed in combat gear the players fill their guns with dye pellets and take aim at each other, with head shots scoring more points.
“This is a really interesting game and it makes us happy playing the game. Even though this game has the sounds of gunfire, we are playing with the aim of changing Afghanistan’s image of war and terrorism, by playing friendly games,” said one of the players, Syed Wasiq.
