Air France pilots protest in Paris

Hundreds of Air France pilots have protested in Paris over a plan to expand the company’s low cost airline Transavia in Europe.

They gathered outside France’s National Assembly to demand government intervention to end a dispute that has dragged on for over a week.

Air France says the walkout is costing the airline around 20 million euros a day.
