Yamaha Racing take the Endurance World Championship, but Suzuki claimed the 24 Heures Moto at Le Mans.
It was the first victory of the season for Suzuki’s endurance team.
They picked up the points after 8 and 16 hours as well as crossing the line first.
The win offered some consolation for a difficult season for Suzuki, after four years at the top of the ranking the team had failed to win a single race going into Le Mans.
The weather conditions played a major role as intermittent rain and a track that remained tricky throughout and played havoc with the riders and tyres.
