And denim looks are the centrepiece of the collection.
Gucci creative director Frida Giannini plays with the nautical and military themes that often punctuate her collections. And it’s full of items that can form the backbone of any wardrobe for a long time to come.
Alberta Ferretti presented a delicate yet bohemian spring/summer collection.
The colour nude appeared to be main shade of the collection. It was used in skirts decorated with tri-dimensional petal appliqués, jumpsuits with softly pleated lapels and pants, culottes and slips.
New looks from the designer included airy chiffon trousers.
This year Greek designer Angelos Bratis was selected by Giorgio Armani to showcase his collection at his venue, Teatro Armani.
The new Bratis collection is inspired by architectural modernism and the last erotic paintings of renowned artist Yannis Moralis.
Bratis shares the pure and abstract mathematical approach of Moralis’ work.
Versatile dresses and kaftans are created for every female type. There were diverse and elusive patterns in beige, gold, pink, yellow and the depths of white. These were spurred on by touches of black and various nuances of blue.
Milan Fashion Week runs until the 23rd September.
