Residents have been assessing the damage after hurricane Odile rampaged through swathes of Mexico’s Baja California peninsular.

In desperation locals have been looting supermarkets bare in search of food and supplies .
A second tropical storm in the area dubbed Polo is moving north west and could worsen into a hurricane but will hopefully stay off shore.
