Brazil: Rousseff narrows gap against rival

The gap between Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff and opposition candidate Marina Silva has narrowed by one percentage point – according to latest polls.

Silva is still expected to win a predicted second round run off but now with only 47 percent of the vote instead of last week’s 48 percent. Rousseff is set to garner 43 percent.

Others polls predict a tight race for the presidency. First round vote is on October 5.
