India celebrates elephant-headed Hindu god Ganesh
Indians have been toasting their elephant-headed Hindu god, Ganesh.
This year the celebrations are more lavish than ever, with worshippers creating idols made of gold, and some surprising eco-friendly idols designed to protect the country’s polluted waters.
The deity is widely-believed to be a remover of obstacles.
