People in the rebel-held eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk are anxiously awaiting the outcome of the ceasefire talks being held in the Belarus capital Minsk.
Residents there have suffered through some of the fiercest fighting in the conflict and although they were hopeful, the people who spoke to euronews were not optimistic.
“With all that is going on there in Minsk, I hope there will be some kind of compromise, some kind of agreement, but honestly I have my doubts”, said one resident.
Another woman was a little more hopeful: “I have said I have hopes, but it is very hard to trust anybody these days, moreover we have seen such efforts before and they have come to nothing, but we must hope”.
Rebels have been demanding that any ceasefire should include a complete withdrawal of Ukrainian troops.
