Mexico’s government has unveiled the winning design of a new, futuristic airport for the capital.
The renowned British architect Norman Foster has teamed up with Mexican Fernando Romero to clinch the 6.8 billion euro project.
The airport will have six runways to cater for 120 million passengers and be built in the form of an X.
Foster is one of the world’s most famous architects and his practice, Foster and Partners, has designed dozens of high-profile buildings around the world including Beijing Airport and London’s Wembley Stadium.
