Pakistan cleric calls for day of revolution

Anti-government cleric Tahir-ul-Qadri who with cricketer turned politician Imran Khan has been calling for Pakistan’s prime minister to quit, has announced a day of revolution.

Qadri told supporters who have been taking part in daily rallies in Islamabad that negotiations with the government had completely failed.

Both men accuse Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of vote rigging and corruption and are demanding reforms in Pakistan’s electoral system to prevent any future vote fraud.
