Fans pay tribute to striker Ebosse

Hundreds of Algerian football fans have paid their respects to Cameroon striker Albert Ebosse who died on Saturday.

The 24-year-old JS Kabylie forward sustained fatal head injuries after fans threw projectiles at the players following their home defeat against USM Alger in the Algerian league.

Ebosse – who scored his side’s only goal in the match – was rushed to hospital but died later that night.

The African football federation has temporarily suspended domestic competition while the government has ordered an investigation into Ebosse’s death.
