A new shirt, a new club and it would seem a new Luis Suarez. The player has a made a pledge to Barcelona fans he will not be biting opposition players again
The striker made the vow after being officially unveiled by the Spanish giants. The Uruguayan revealed he has talked to specialists about his behaviour and that there will be more incidents.
“It’s a difficult for me and I say to all the fans there don’t worry for that I because I don’t do it anymore that and I know in football every time the media or someone criticise you or myself. It does not matter to me and I try to forget about that.”
The fans gave their new striker a rapturous welcome. He played in Barca’s Monday night 6-0 win in a friendly against Mexican side Club Leon.
Despite serving a four month ban which was upheld last week for the biting incident in the World Cup the 27-year-old has been given dispensation to train with and play for his new club in friendly matches.
