Costa Rica’s World Cup hero Keylor Navas was officially presented at Real Madrid on Tuesday.
The 27-year has signed a six-year contract with the European champions for a fee of 10 million euros.
Navas, nicknamed the ‘Falcon of Costa Rica’, joins the Spanish giants from fellow La Liga side Levante in what the shot-stopper says was a dream move.
“I’m so happy, it’s something I always dreamed of. I will give everything for this club, I’ll leave my heart in every training, every play. I hope I can help to win many titles,’‘ said Navas.
Navas starred in Brazil this summer where he helped his nation reach the World Cup quarter-finals.
His arrival at Real Madrid will cause coach Carlo Ancelotti somewhat of a headache as he’s spoilt for choice with keepers.
Out-of-sorts Iker Casillas was first choice in the Champions League and Kings Cup last term, while Diego López played between the sticks in La Liga.
According to Spanish reports Lopez is the more likely to be jettisoned.
