Australian steam train runs again after 30 years
The Bayer Garratt locomotive, known as ’60-29’ among experts, is now back up and running for the first time in more than three decades, much to the delight of a small team of train enthusiasts who have been volunteering on the project for eight years.
The train is the biggest operating steam engine in Australia and the southern hemisphere.
