Montsho fails dope test at Commonwealth Games

Botswana’s Amantle Montsho has become the second athlete at the 2014 Commonwealth Games to have failed a drugs test.

The 31-year-old has been provisionally suspended after returning a positive test for a banned stimulant following the women’s 400m final in Glasgow.

Her B sample will be tested on Monday in London:

Montsho won Commonwealth gold at Delhi 2010 and the world title in Daegu 2011.

She is the second competitor to fail a dope test in Glasgow after 16-year-old Nigerian weightlifter Chika Amalaha.
