Italian protesters clash with police over high-speed railway line

Protesters clashed with police in the province of Alessandria in Italy at a demo against the construction of a high-speed railway line.

Three people were injured and many were treated for breathing problems after tear gas was used.

The No Tav group oppose the railway line which would eventually connect Genoa to Rotterdam.
