As many as nine Palestinian children and one adult have been killed following a missile strike on a refugee camp in Gaza.
The children were playing on swings in a play area at the Beach Refugee camp when the missile hit.
It is reported that 46 people suffered injuries.
Palestinian officials say another missile hit the compound of the Shifa hospital, the main medical centre in Gaza.
The Israeli army has denied responsibility for the carnage, it claims both sites were hit by rockets misfired by Hamas fighters.
Earlier UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon demanded that Israel and Hamas end the conflict “in the name of humanity.”
