Twelve dead in West Bank clashes

Clashes erupted in cities throughout the occupied West Bank after five Palestinians were killed on Friday in shootings involving both Israeli soldiers and a civilian who appeared to be a Jewish settler, medics and witnesses said.

Palestinian security sources reported one 16-year-old was killed in Bethlehem.

In East Jerusalem, Israeli security forces opened fire replicating a “spray of bullets,” according to a press photographer from Agence France-Presse (AFP).

Medics said eight Palestinians were killed in separate incidents near Nablus and Hebron on Friday. Witnesses said a suspected Jewish settler shot dead one man and wounded three others.

Twelve Palestinian people have been killed in the West Bank in recent days, reported AFP.
