Posthumous performance by Phillip Seymour Hoffman in 'A Most Wanted Man'

In partnership with

‘A Most Wanted Man’ stars Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Rachel McAdams and Robin Wright.

Tragically Seymour Hoffman died earlier this year of a heroine overdose. ‘A Most Wanted Man’ was one of the last films he worked on.

At the premier in New York, his co-stars paid tribute to him. Rachel McAdams said: “I think he’s one of the greatest actors that ever lived, so it’s a real loss to the world, obviously. But this is another incredible performance by him.”

Robin Wright said working with him had been an inspiring experience: “He was one of our greats, an incredible actor. We had worked together years ago on a little thing we did for HBO. And always wanted to immerse ourselves in something meaty, and we finally got to do it. I feel blessed to have worked with him.”

The film, directed by Anton Corbijn, is based on the novel by John Le Carre and tells the story of a Chechen-Russian immigrant on the run in Germany after 9/11.

Hoffman plays a spy who thinks that finding this man could lead to finding other, bigger terrorists.

‘A Most Wanted Man’ is on screens this summer.
