Former Barcelona president Sandro Rosell left Spain’s high court on Tuesday after testifying for three hours over accusations of alleged misappropriation of funds concerning the signing of Brazil’s Neymar.
The hearing was ordered when a disgruntled Barca fan pursued legal action after being refused any kind of clarity over the multi-million euro deal in June of last year.
The Brazilian forward was initially paraded at Barca as a 57.1 million euro transfer from Santos.
But it was later discovered another 40 million euros had been paid to a company with close relations to the player’s family.
After the details came to light Rosell resigned in January saying he wanted to protect the image of the club – who have already paid the Spanish treasury 13.5 million euros after being charged with fraud.
