The head of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics Kim Jin-Sun has resigned from his position.
Jin-Sun said he believes the committee needs new leadership to continue the preparations for the games with four years to go.
His resignation coincides with a Board of Audit and Inspection (BAI) investigation into the organisation – although Kim denies his decision had anything to do with the probe.
The BAI has so far refused to say what prompted the investigation.
Nonetheless, Kim is the second member of the committee to step down following the resignation in May of Vice President and Secretary General of the committee Moon Dong-hoo due to health concerns.
