Donetsk residents continue to flee violence in rebel-held city to take refuge in Russia
A convoy of buses with Ukrainian refugees on board left Donetsk for Russia on Wednesday. A local refugee committee said about 500 people were making the journey as fighting continues in eastern Ukraine between government forces and pro-Russia separatists.
No reliable official recent death toll has been produced, but hundreds of civilians are believed to have been killed so far in the conflict.
Authorities said on Tuesday that 258 servicemen have been killed in fighting and 922 injured.
