Juventus appoint Allegri as new coach

Former AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri has joined Italian champions Juventus on Wednesday following the shock resignation of Antonio Conte.

According to reports, the 47-year-old, who was sacked by the Rossoneris midway through last season after a dreadful start to the campaign, has signed a two-year deal that will earn him two million euros per season plus bonuses.

Conte could take the Italy manager’s post left vacant by Cesare Prandelli, who stepped down as national team boss after la Squadra Azzurra’s early exit in Brazil.
