Google has revealed an ambitious new expansion plan at its annual developers conference in San Francisco.
The internet search giant has announced it is working with manufacturers to develop a smartphone that will sell for the equivalent ofaround €70 for the Indian market.
Google has said its Android software, which already runs on more than three out of every four smartphones, is coming to cars and televisions.
Its new smartwatches made by Samsung and LG and running on Android Wear technology have just gone on sale.
Google also revealed the first cars running on Android Auto software for navigation, music and messaging will be in showrooms later this year. More than 40 car makers had already signed up.
Android TV aims to give viewers an easy interface to search for and display video content.
