Snowden reveals asylum refusals


Former US National Security Agency contractor, Edward Snowden, has told a Council of Europe hearing that he had a personal duty to his country, government and family to blow the whistle on surveillance techniques used around the world.

Speaking from Russia he also revealed that he was refused asylum by over twenty countries while stuck in transit in Moscow last year.
