Nigerian capital shaken by explosion

An explosion has ripped through a shopping centre in the Nigerian capital Abuja killing at least 30 people but local media is warning the death toll could be in the hundreds.
The centre was packed with people at its busiest time of the day, and around 40 nearby cars were also reported damaged or destroyed.

In the last two months the capital has been hit twice by bombs claimed by the Boko Haram Islamist militant group.
