Swedish budget fashion retailer Hennes &Mauritz, better known as H&M, has said June sales were off to a good start after a near twenty percent increase in May.
H&M, which competes with the world’s biggest clothing company Zara-owner Inditex, has announced strong sales for several of its brands.
The group has posted a pretax profit of over 844 million euros for the period from March to May.
H&M has been broadening its product offering and investing in its online business, which had a slow start compared with some rivals.
