General Electric is in talks with France to secure its bid to buy Alstom’s energy assets.
The US company is reportedly set to offer an independent audit to back up its guarantee to create 1,000 jobs in France as part of the deal.
It’s believed that General Electric doesn’t plan on increasing the cash component of its offer but is willing to continue discussions on several issues including France retaining access to nuclear technology.
The revised General Electric plan is expected to be presented to the French government and unions on Thursday.
