World Cup 2014: Brazil's biggest fan only wears team colours

What’s the best way to show the world how dedicated you are to your country? According to Brazil fanatic Nelson Paviotti it involves wearing nothing but his country’s colours.

In 1994 the Sao Paulo lawyer swore an oath to only wear the yellow, green, blue and white of Brazil if the team won the World Cup that year. They did, and 20 years later he remains true to his word.

“I’m a patriot who just loves Brazil, that loves this land and loves its people. I’m full of hope that Brazil will have a great future, a brighter future, a future that will give people a better life,” he explained.

Paviotti says his decision to only wear the four colours on the Brazil flag has turned into an expression of hope for his country.

But his love for Brazil has extended beyond just his wardrobe.

Paviotti’s two cars and even the footpath outside his home have been spruced up too.

The opening match of the World Cup will take place between Brazil and Croatia in Sao Paulo.
