Over 4,000 competitors took part in this year’s Ultrabalaton in Hungary, a 212-kilometre race around Central Europe’s largest lake.
The 8th edition got underway on Saturday morning with runners having to complete the course in less than 32 hours.
The route mainly consists of footpaths and minor roads with competitors running and riding through a string of villages and small towns, mostly close to the shore.
Italy’s Ivan Cudy kept his composure to secure this year’s event ahead of Lojze Primožič, while Boris Ivanovic completed the podium.
