Defending Champion Spain included Diego Costa in its 23-man squad for this summer’s World Cup in Brazil despite injury concerns over the Atletico striker.

The 25-year-old, who was struggling with niggling muscle problems in the final weeks of the La Liga and Champions League campaigns, made the cut along with team-mate David Villa, Chelsea’s Fernando Torres and Manchester United’s Juan Mata.

For Brazil, Vicente Del Bosque’s men, who took top honours in South Africa four years ago, have been drawn in Group B with the Netherlands, Chile and Australia and will play their opening game against the Dutch on June 13 in a repeat of the 2010 final.
