Turkey’s national football team traveled to the disaster-hit town of Soma this week to pay their respects to the 301 workers who lost their lives in last week’s mining tragedy.
Lead by coach Fatih Terim the team visited some of the families of the victims and attended an Islamic memorial service at the town’s Ulu Mosque.
The football delegation laid carnations at the graves of the victims before speaking to some of the survivors of the mine blast which is the worst mining disaster in the country’s history.
