The government has not made an official statement, but local television has shown rescue workers pulling bodies from aircraft debris.
The foreign ministry of neighbouring Thailand said it had been informed by Laos’ government that an AN74-300 aircraft had crashed at 06:15 local time on Friday, May 16.
