There have been further clashes between students and police in Venezuela.
Security forces again used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse almost 1,000 youths , many of whom were throwing stones and petrol bombs.
The violence comes one day after the authorities had freed most of the 243 activists arrested last week in raids on street camps set up to protest against President Nicolas Maduro’s socialist government.
In what has been the country’s worst unrest in a decade, at least 42 people have died in violence linked to the protests.
So far Maduro’s position does not appear to be threatened having strong support among Venezuela’s poor.
On Thursday representatives of the government and political opposition are set to meet once again in a bid to resolve the crisis.
