Paris Saint Germain were crowned Ligue One champions on Wednesday for the second season in a row and for the fourth time in the club’s history.
The capital club won the crown earlier in the day when closest title rivals Monaco drew with French Cup winners Guingamp.
Despite losing their game with Rennes later in the day at the Parc de Princes PSG now enjoy an unassailable seven-point lead over the principality club with two matches remaining.
It caps off a fine season for coach Laurent Blanc and his men who also won the League Cup and reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
