After weeks of speculation, French giants Marseille have confirmed that Marcelo Bielsa will be appointed as their new manager from the end of the season.
The 58-year-old Argentinian, who has led both Chile and his home country to World Cups, will replace Jose Anigo after agreeing a two-year deal.
At club level, Bielsa guided Newell’s Old Boys to the 1991 league title and Athletic Bilbao to the 2012 Europa League showpiece match.
Marseille, the 1993 Champions League winners are currently sixth in Ligue 1 having finished runners-up to reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain last season.
