Spanish Catholics celebrate Holy Week

Spain’s Catholics have been celebrating Semana Santa, or Holy Week, in the run up to Easter.

In a week-long religious festival in Seville, Murcia and other southern Spanish cities, Catholic brotherhoods, many dating back to the 16th century, are taking part in elaborate processions in which the faithful repent in anonymity.
