Ukraine: Slavyansk locals told 'stay indoors' during anti-terrorist operation

Ukraine’s interior minister Arsen Avakov has told residents in the eastern city of Slavyansk to stay indoors and away from their windows as an anti-terrorist operation intensifies.

Pro-Russian militants who seized a police station on Saturday have opened fire on Ukrainian security forces trying to take back the building.

Further clashes are expected.

Avakov announced on his Facebook page that “all security units” were involved in an “anti-terrorist operation.”
