The President of the Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso, has been outlining his thoughts on how and why Europe and Africa should work together in interview with euronews.
The president also questioned the role of the International Court in Africa arguing the Court seems to concentrate too much on events on the continent compared to other countries across the world.
Denis Sassou Nguesso talked about the responsibility to protect the Congo Basin which he said is the other lung of the world after the Amazon, and outlined his hopes for positive meetings with other countries to come up with ways of ensuring the future of the biodiversity of the Congo Basin.
